It was located very conveniently by restaurants, visitor center, and stores. Just a short drive from the national park entrance. The staff was very friendly - special shoutout to Richard at the info desk right by the door! He was very friendly and gave us a VERY DETAILED rundown of things to do in grand canyon, Sedona, and Flagstaff. He even went as far as sending us an email with even more recommendations, links, and all. I highly suggest talking to him if you are staying there. The room was cozy, even with 4 of us + 1 cat staying in the room, it didn't feel too cramped, and we had ready access to parking through our patio door. We only stayed one night, but would love to be back again!

The Grand Canyon Plaza hotel is situated very close in driving distance to the entrance of the South Rim, which is the main reason we chose this hotel. We were pleasantly surprised that we were a stone's throw from the Grand Canyon Visitor Center. We walked across the parking lot to watch the excellent movie about the majesty of the Canyon at the IMAX theater at the Visitor Center. I highly recommend watching the movie. The hotel has a lovely outdoor pool and hot tub. It also features a restaurant and a separate bar on the premises. The lobby is beautifully appointed. The rooms are motel style. Comfortable, simple, and clean.

Its a large hotel with a lot of space. Because of its location (near the Grand Canyon) it gets many visitors from overseas which often arrive by tour bus. Despite the tour buses it never really felt crowded. My girlfriend and I had hiked 25k down and back in the Grand Canyon so when we arrived at the hotel I'm sure we could have slept on a bed of rocks and would have been fine. However the bed was very comfortable and the shower very refreshing. There are many restaurant's within walking distance and its the closest place to stay before entering the Grand Canyon park.

It is located great. You could walk to the rim if you are in a decent shape. In summer very hot and walking a bit uphill. Right in the middle of the town/village. Can’t get closer unless you are in one of the National Parks Lodge. A hot tub in the lobby area that really smells of chlorine. It did not bother us at all but it is a very strong smell within the rooms. A patio that looks over the lobby and hot tub is nice, but again if you are sensitive to a chlorine smell ask fo a further out room. Restaurant was good.

The room was clean, a good size and comfortable. The availabilty of the lifts and the quiet environment and the location allowed easy transportation options by just making a call. Did not make use of the breakfast facilities and coffee stand at the entrance of the hotel was excellent and being ilocated in the main building especially travelling solo was a bonus. Great experience. Would recommend this hotel to anybody. Had a splendid time.
